Magic

Magic
This week in SSC:

"Anything glass in black and white"

I just got this new glass ball to play around with. I was sitting at the table and across from me was a chair and the yard outside the window. All of a sudden the yard became very blurry and then magically appeared inside the glass ball....

...and for Sight and Sound:

The Lovin' Spoonful from their album "Do You Believe in Magic" (1965)

Live: Do You Believe in Magic

It's wonderful how the glass ball turns the world upside down! The soft and blurry background complements it beautifully.

Great reflection, it reminds me that I used to hypnotise chicken with a crystal ball when I was a kid!

Wow and even more of a 'Wow' factor when viewing on black I say! Yes, magical and then some! Superbly done and an absolute fave for me, Karen. And, a perfect musical match to an all-time classic. Brings back memories :-) I really must fish out my Lovin' Spoonful albums :-) And also, I have a set of three cd's of John Sebastian's solo work. Believe it or not, I know exactly where they are too. I will be shortly be putting one of the cd's on the cd player :-)

Thank you for posting to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music

Thanks, Roger. They were such a good and fun group with such great music. I saw John Sebastian live back in the 70s when he went solo and he was so enjoyable. He seemed like he truly loved singing.

That's clever Karen. Great effect. What I would give for a crystal ball at times! I remember years ago my husband teased me about my large hooped earrings and then came home with a glass domed lightshade stuck to a wooden base - a crystal ball for his 'gypsy' wife!!

Yeah, that's the default with these balls. You can rotate the photo if you want and I've seen some that are really outstanding.

Wow ! First I didn`t understand WHAT I see here.
Looked like some cypresses in the glass ball. Enlarged it`s your garden, 180 degrees turned around ... stunning result !

A very good one!
Interesting, how the background pushes the space between the boards (?- of the balustrde) to attention. Particulary I like the pattern of the wooden table in the glass ball.
