November afternoon walk

We went for a walk this afternoon on the closed-to-traffic Priest's Road and this is what we saw. The clouds moved off to the east and now, a few hours later, the night sky is perfectly clear.

I think of November as the gloomiest month for weather but today contradicts that sense.
