Pine siskin in the morning sun, behind my pet pine

My pet pine is getting larger. For decades it stood less than two feet tall
but now it's easily three feet (a metre) tall and birds regularly stop to
rest in it, or to hide behind it. Early this morning, this siskin seemed to
be stretching, somewhat hidden from me by the pine.

My pet pine is 30 years old, or thereabouts. Maybe 35. Planted from a seed
and kept pot-bound. It's outdoors all year nowadays.
