I only speak a tiny bit of french. But I try to write sometimes.

I have a tiny vocabulary (compared to my poet husband) in my own native language of english, and so I'm surprised I can read and speak as much french as I do, even though it is very little.

I've been playing with the phone app Duolingo just for fun. For awhile I tried out Gaelic - that was hilarious.

De mon côté j'ai un vocabulaire minuscule ( comparé à celui de ma femme , prof de français et d'allemand ) et comparé aussi avec le fiston qui à fait ses études d'ingénieur et diplômé en France et aussi en Allemagne . :o)

If my country wasn't so homogeneous I might have had a chance to truly learn another language. I think it's wonderful for people to be bi-lingual.
