Penstemon, in White
Pretty much every day I wander around the yard, looking at flowers, pulling up an occasional weed and taking photographs of anything that seems worthwhile. I call this the Daily Flower Census.
One of the fun things about our garden is that most every week there's something new. Today I found the newly-blossomed white Beardtongue (above--we had a more colorful variant a few weeks back), and a couple new Daylily colors. A couple days back one of the Yarrows opened up, and the Gayfeathers have begun to flower. In a day or two we'll have many Black-Eyed Susans--I see there's one beginning to show its colors in the background of this photo.
Meantime the Shasta Daisies and Lilies are fading. But they'll be back next summer.
