Wimpy Hyacinth
Every spring, Joan brings home a potted hyacinth. That gets the cats all excited, so she puts it out of their reach. The house smells sweet. The plant typically blooms for a couple weeks, then she transplants it to the garden.
This was one of those transplants. Sadly, it's nearly forgotten how to blossom. But the few flowers it offers each spring are quite lovely, and surprisingly delicate.
