Es gibt noch lange Stücken der Stadtmauer mit einigen Türmen und dem Heidetor.
Aber die Zerbster Altstadt wurde zum Ende des 2. WK fast vollständig zerstört. Neben der Ruine der Stadtkirche stehen Plattenbauten aus DDR-Zeit.

Das es noch lange stücke der stadtmauer gibt ist gut. Dass die Zerbster altstadt fast völlig zerstört wurde ist weniger gut. Kirchenruine und plattenbauten daneben...eine illustre kombination!
