Pictures taken in August 2023 during a two hour 'window of opportunity'. Basingstoke was my local town for 30 years. Some older comparison pictures have been included.

Basingstoke is a town in Hampshire, England. Originally an old 'market Town' much of it was demolished and re-developed as a 'new town' over a period of years from the late 1960s.

Junction on Castle Field Path Basingstoke, 1981
Castle Field Path ran from the Bounty Cricket Ground to a bridge over the 'new' Ringway. Here is divided to provide access to new housing.
