In the Howard Davis Gardens, St Helier
I wanted to replicate the cool, even daylight of a wet cloudy day here but without taking too much from the vibrancy of the flowers. Contrast, sharpness and detail controls were turned down from their defaults. RGB curves were used to set the black and white points and also the fine-tuning of the colour balance.

Dock Worker - Sculpture at St Helier
La Travailleux D'Cauchie - sculpture at St Helier. The sculpture acts as a reminder of a time when Jersey sailors would travel as far as Nova Scotia in search of cod. With no mechanical winches at the time, it would be the job of the dockers to haul in the fishing boats. The man in the sculpture is wearing a traditional Jersey seaman's sweater.

Musicians - Sculpture at St Helier
Working in Concert - a concrete sculpture by Carole Vincent. The sculpture features a collection of musicians sculpted in turquoise-coloured concrete and is similar in design and finish to Ms Vincent's other piece of work in Jersey.
