This close up shot is my favourite of the three...........but it's good to see more context in the other two, which are also excellent.
I can see this is an old quarry, but do you have any idea what the structure was used for?
Jörg club has replied to Keith Burton clubYes, it's an old quarry, basalt in a cold volcano, to be precise. The lake is about 50m deep. So, the round tower could be something like a elevator for the basalt an the base of transportation.
