These images are the result of a long day trip (16 hours) into the mountains of western North Carolina along the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was accompanied by my friend and nature photographer, Alan Cressler as we drove about 150 miles (240 km) of the Parkway, stopping many times along the way to photograph the wildflowers and beautiful mountain scenery.
