These images are the result of a very long day trip to the Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina. I was joined by Walter Ezell and Steve Baker, a friend from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We found four orchid species (three of them in bloom) and a number of blooming Trillium species and hybrids, as well as some other very colorful Spring wildflowers.
