Cypripedium reginae (Showy Lady's-slipper orchid)

Driving south toward Winnipeg, we had started to see the occasional Showy orchid, when we rounded a curve and saw dozens of clumps along side the road. I had to stop to check it out. Some of the flowers were past bloom, but we found a few at the edge of the woods that were in perfect shape.
