Platanthera Xlueri (White Fringed Orchid hybrid with Yellow Fringed Orchid)

I spent the weekend with my photography friends in the Green Swamp Preserve and the Francis Marion National Forest. This image was taken in the Francis Marion. What a wonderful day we had.

This was one of two plants that is a hybrid between the Yellow Fringed Orchid and the White Fringed Orchid. Note the color of the buds and the anthers of the open flowers.
