Birds of a Feather

Since I had the screen curtains across the run in shed door, the swallows couldn't make their nest inside this year. They chose to build a nest high atop the floodlight on the side of the barn. When the fledglings started testing their wings, they wound up stranded in various parts of the yard. I did my best to collect them and put them somewhere safe until they could fly away.

These are tough birds for me to photograph; they're skittish and most times you don't see them until it's too late. I wish the branch wasn't in the way, but them's the breaks.
