Good Eats

I'm a guest in my mother's home for the time being, but it's great that she's open to letting me do my thing. Thank goodness my love of gardening and plants was inherited from her! Top shelf - 6 varieties of tomato, sweet and hot peppers, and radicchio. Bottom shelf - various flower seeds collected from my garden left behind.

My lettuce is coming along nicely! Two boxes are mesclun/arugula/mustard green mix, and two are mesclun/spinach mix. I planted one mix about three weeks before the second mix, so I can hopefully have a constant supply of salad greens once they get to harvesting point.

I started some lettuce/arugula/mustard green seeds last month because I'm desperate for green and growing things.

Despite a squash bug infestation, I'm getting a few fruits on my plants.

I guess it must be an effect of the drought; my pumpkins are undersized and ripening much too early due to stress. It is pretty cute, though.
