Barn - PIP

The Northern Barn "Espigueiro" is a building for agricultural use intended to dry, cure and store corn before threshing and grinding it. It consists of an oblong storage chamber, narrow and permeable to the passage of air, separated from the floor to prevent the entry of moisture and animals.
Sometimes the 17 of them are used by all the village as in Soajo, but here it belongs to the household and as such it can also serve as calling card . . .
