Símbolo para os ingleses deste dia comemorativo do armistício. Para os franceses a flor é azul, chamam-lhe “bleuet”, a Centaurea azul (Centaurea cyanus)

Such a splendidly symbolic and evocative image, Jose!
For us in Italy it's the 4th of November.. But apart from different dates, let me say please, it's such a great tribute to all these young or less young people of any nations, sent to the massacre for a useless and ferocious war as all wars have been and continue to be..
Thank you !

Thank you Beatrice.
You use clear, moving words but . . . after une hundred years, how many of the same young people is killed everyday for stupid, devious and money turns of the governments?
I am also sorry for today, no hope of a clean future is in sight.
