If that (top left) was a rain cloud, then it might soon have become photographers' wet dream lighting. Oh, happy memories.

The previous comment is waving goodbye, because it knows that it's about to disappear.

Puerile is a good description.

Not really. Even when the Thames bursts its banks, the place is never surrounded by water.

It's a picture of a place surrounded by water when the Thames bursts its banks.

If that's Manzil Way, it looks much nicer with its ugly car park and buildings submerged.

What car park?

Far left. But perhaps that just a bicycle park. But not pretty, either way.

It's a road, actually, not a car park or a bicycle park. And the green area is a pocket park.

In that case, "If that's Manzil Way, it looks much nicer with its ugly road and buildings submerged".

The flood picture was taken at Medley, as I'm sure you know, showing a place surrounded by water when the Thames bursts its banks (something you said could never happen).

The top picture is the pocket park at Manzil Way, which is situated alongside the busy Cowley Road, but has no car park and doesn't get flooded.

However, there are car parks further along Manzil Way, at the medical centres.

What I was saying is that it could never happen IN MANZIL WAY, which as you confirm doesn't get flooded. If the Thames were ever to reach that height, half of Oxford would be under water.
