Like a wise man who built his house on the rock. (Matthew 7:24)

The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house;
yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.

Yes, but the house cannot have been connected to a sewer. Where, do you think, did they empty their chamber pots?

My cooking skills are rudimentary, to say the least, but I managed to concoct something new for dinner tonight, and it was good.

No; bacon, fried onion and mashed potato. Not a common concoction but nice.

In my younger days, I used to buy a large packet of bacon pieces (very cheap), cut the fatty bits off for the dog, and fry it with chopped onion and tomato and a dash of Blue Dragon chilli sauce. The resulting concoction was delicious and could be eaten hot or cold, with pasta or toast, and salad. It used to last me all week.
