Bei Betreten der Kirche wird der Besucher von einem beeindruckenden Gesamtkunstwerk aus Säulen, Stuckaturen, Vergoldungen und Fresken empfangen. Die Innenausstattung wurde ab 1750 im Stil des Rokoko und Klassizismus gestaltet, um dem wandelnden Zeitgeschmack zu entsprechen. Heute wirkt der gesamte Kirchenraum jedoch dunkel und stumpf, da die Oberflächen durch den Ruß der Kerzen über die Zeit stark in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wurden.
