Longji Rice Terraces Located in Longsheng County, the Longji Rice Terraces are about 100 km from Guilin, Guanxi Autonomous Region. The most popular are Ping'An Rice Terrace and Jinkeng Rice Terrace. History of Longji Rice Terrace can be dating back to Yuan Dynasty, but most of the Rice Terrace were built during the Ming Dynasty, about 500 years ago. Panorama of the Ping An terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top, the highest part being 880m in elevation while the lowest part is 380m. The coiling line that starts from the mountain foot up to the mountain top divides the mountain into layers of water glittering in the sun in spring, layers of green rice shoots in summer, layers of golden rice in fall, and layers of silvery frost in winter. As the rice terraces resemble a dragon's scales, while the summit of the mountain range looks like the backbone of the dragon, so called Dragon- back Rice Terrace. You can see the dragon's backbone twisting off into the distance while standing on the top of the mountain . In an early morning, if the weather is fine, the sunrise on the summit of Longji Rice Terraces is magnificent.

HuaShi Villa (HuaShi Lou) was built in 1930. It was originally a villa of a Russian aristocrat and later sold to a British businessman. After the Communists took the rule, the building was used for a reception facility. The building is one of the famous landscapes in the Eight Passes villa district for its unique appearance. Located along the eastern stretches of Beach #2, it combines Roman and Greek architectural styles so as to resemble a miniature castle. The structure's tower furnishes postcard views of Taiping Bay. Thick stands of pine trees and manicured gardens surround the mansion making for the perfect setting for a leisurely walk.
