Let's look at it from wider angle

The Xi’an City Walls rise in silent majesty, their ancient stones tracing the outline of dynasties long vanished. Built in the Ming era atop even older foundations, these ramparts encircle the city like a guardian’s embrace-broad, formidable, and punctuated by watchtowers that have witnessed centuries of procession and siege. Here, the past lingers not as a relic, but as a living threshold between the old city’s labyrinthine alleys and the restless modernity beyond. To cycle atop these walls is to glide along the spine of history itself. The path, paved with timeworn bricks, undulates beneath your wheels, each turn revealing new vistas: the tiled roofs of temples, the hum of markets, the distant shimmer of glass towers. The city unfolds in layers, and with every pedal, you become both traveler and chronicler, tracing stories written in stone and sky.
