I saw these white flowers in Washington, D.C. while on a class trip in 1979. I don't know what kind they were, but I'm almost certain I saw them at or near the Smithsonian.

November 11th is Veteran's Day here in the United States. I am a veteran myself and I want to thank every other veteran we've ever had for their service. This picture is of Arlington Cemetery, located in Washington, D.C. As you can see, some veterans gave all to keep us free.

Arlington Memorial Amphitheater is an open theater located at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington County Virginia. It was completed in 1920. It is used for Veterans Day and Memorial Day events, as well as memorial services and funerals.

This is the tomb and final resting place of George Washington and his wife Martha, and is located at his house in Mount Vernon, Virginia. He died on December 14th, 1799 and is considered the "Father Of Our Country" - the United States Of America.
