This shot was taken with a Kodak Tele-Ektralite 600. I found it at a used furniture store for .50 cents and it had a partially-exposed roll of film still in it! This is one of the shots that was already on the roll of 12 exposure 110 film and since the camera was sold in 1980, (until 1982), I figure this was the original roll of film that was sold with the camera. There were 7 shots already taken, with 5 shots remaining. I don't know who took it or where it's at, but it was apparently Winter when it was taken. If you look real close at the top middle of the picture, you can see someone shovelling snow.

Film: Kodak Kodacolor VR 110 film (dating from 1982)

Family Picnic

From left to right are, Melony, a friend of my sister's, my sister's boyfriend at the time Don, my sister Karla and at the far right edge, you can just see a little of my Dad.
I just realized on what day this was taken. I was going through the original envelope of negatives that this image was from and found that, at the beginning of the roll, I had taken some shots of the television screen of the final episode of "Hawaii Five-O," which was broadcast on Friday, April 4th, 1980. There were then ten shots in a row from this family picnic to Ridgeway, Illinois, then some more shots taken of the tv screen. This time it was from the movie "The Ten Commandments," which in those days, was always broadcast on the night of Easter Sunday. For that year it was on April 6th, 1980. So, since my family went on most outings on Saturdays, that meant that the date for the above image had to have been on April 5th, 1980. I'm going through and getting all my negatives organized and when they are in order, it's so much easier to put a date to them. I love it when things come together and work out like this!

Looks like a hydro-electric plant. Seen in Ontario, Canada in 1980. Update: From a postcard I found for this trip, this is the Montreal River and the Ontario Hydro Damsite. Taken while on the Agawa Canyon Tour out of Sault St. Marie. The only way to access this area is by train, or so the postcard says.
