My ex-girlfriend Jessica got married yesterday and she asked me to be her photographer. Here she is with her husband Jose sharing a moment at the reception.

Have Some Cake
Kiss The Bride
|
|
The band I'm currently a member of, Deuces Wild, was hired to play at the reception of a couple who got married in nearby Carmi, Illinois. And of course, since it fell in the two-week period of when I had the One Rokkor Around The World project lens, I thought - why not memorialize it for the project? So, after finishing my duties of playing the accompaning music cd for the woman who sang a song at the beginning of the wedding ceremony, I was free to do whatever I chose. Of course I had two cameras with me and one was my trusty Minolta XD11 with the project lens attached. As soon as the minister pronounced the two married, he had them turn to each other and, for the benefit of the crowd, uttered those immortal words, "You may now kiss the bride...."
Snap.... got it!

Horning In

There was a wedding reception held by the Benton Lake on Saturday, so even though I wasn't the official photographer, from my vantage point I got some shots of the bride.

Cutting The Cake In 110

I just snapped this picture with my little Continental pocket 110 camera at a reception my band played at. I didn't know the couple and I still don't know who it is, but it makes a good post when I'm looking for 110 images.

This was the inside of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where we attended the wedding of Carla's cousin on October 26th, 2013.
The Happy Couple
|
|
|
A wedding I shot last night. The young couple looked so happy, despite being pelted here like they were. It had been raining, right up to the time of the ceremony. Thankfully, it held off and allowed them come out like this without having to worry about getting wet and pelted at the same time.
Random Cake Picture No. 2

Rusty Old Chevy Truck

There's a place out in the middle of nowhere called Willow Creek. Apparently, it's this big venue you can book to have a wedding at. They might want to clean up this old Chevrolet truck, though.
