Mom's Collectibles
These are just a few of the items my late Mother collected.
Mom at High School

This was probably taken one morning before school. It's my late Mother and was probably taken around 1956 - approximately the same time as the picture of my late Father below.
Mexican Water Pitcher
This is a water pitcher that was made in Mexico and was part of my Mother's collection. I've been going through and trying to catalogue her things with a photographic record. She collected a lot of pottery, vases and water pitchers, so it might take a while. This particular piece was always one of my favorites.

This hand-painted clay pottery water pitcher belonged to my late Mother. It's been in the family for almost 50 years and I treasure it greatly.
Hopi Kachinka Doll
This Hopi Kachinka Doll made of porcelain belonged to my mother. It was a present from one of her childhood friends and she received it in the late 1950's. So, I've seen it displayed my whole life and have always been drawn to it's creepiness.
The Hopi Indians would dress up and do a ceremonial dance wearing outfits such as this.
Mexican Serving Tray
This hand-painted wooden Mexican serving tray belonged to my late Mother. I like to bring it out and use it whenever I have guests over for dinner, so I can show it off as part of the heritage from my parents.

One of my late Mother's Indian-themed collectibles. This figure was used at Christmas.
Hacienda

A base-relief wall hanging located in my bathroom. It is a Spanish house. It's actually about an inch thick and makes it appear 3-dimensional. It sticks out from the wall and has different contours.
Hanging Jug

I'm not exactly sure what this is, but it resembles a water jug. It's got gold streaks all over it and a gold chain with two gold balls around the spout. Its hanging next to my bathroom window.
Navajo Sand Painting

"The Sun And Eagles," by Navajo artist Rosabelle Ben. This is religious ceremonial sand painting, using natural color sandstone.
