Photography Studio
Nearly 50 years ago, this building in Harrisburg, Illinois housed the photography studio of Roy Small. It was through him I took my first photography class in 1978. It was a non-credited college course while I was 17 and still in high school, and it was held here in his studio. Two years after I attended his class, he became the general manager of the local newspaper "The Daily Register." Roy died in 2012.
Taken on August 19th, 2025, with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR.
I was going to post a film image of this building, but the film I used was so expired, it didn't turn out good enough to post. Hence I used the digital "backup" version of the same subject for my submission on World Photography Day.

Happy weekend
I really like the historic-looking building, and I appreciate the information you provided.
And that building is obviously older than 50 years. The history of that would be cool to know also, do you know it?
Thank you for this contribution to our event.
HaarFager club has replied to raingirl clubSadly, I don't know any more about the building's history. It's in a town 20 miles from my own and I don't know much about it.
