Pepper No. 3

Pepper No. 3
This pepper looked photogenic lying there in the produce section, so I bought it and brought it home to memorialize in a picture. I also shot it on film.

This was lit from above and shot at f/36 for 25 seconds, @100 ISO. I also used two white reflecting cards to cast light on the front and sides of the pepper.

This is for the Saturday Self-Challenge group, who's theme this week was to celebrate the group's 2nd year anniversary and was open to each member's choice of theme. We were to choose a past challenge and submit a photograph taken this week that fits that challenge. I chose "Create an image Inspired by one of the artists." I always considered Edward Weston to be a photographic artist. Especially his work photographing peppers - such as "Pepper No. 30."

Wow, Kenny, for not having the ability to see color, you have produced an image full of deightful color. The composition is impeccable and I love the contrast between the rich yellow pepper and the totally black background.
