Rollei 16

There was a television show on in 1974, on the ABC network called "Kolchak: The Night Stalker." It only lasted one season, but it was a great show. I used to watch it when it was on, then in repeats and wonder at how the main character, who was a newspaper reporter, could get by using a 110 camera for news photography. One time, I stopped a frame while I was watching my DVD set of the show and noticed it didn't look like an ordinary 110 camera. It turned out to be this high-quality German-made beauty Rollei 16. It is a 16mm camera made out of real metal and glass and performs admirably. I haven't found any 16 film like it uses, but have cut down some 35mm Kodak Tri-X film to put in it and used it that way. It works much better than your typical 110 camera. Now I can see how the character in the show got away with using such a little camera.
