Vom 16. April bis 12. Oktober fand in Zülpich die Landesgartenschau 2014 von NRW statt. Zur Ausstellungsfläche gehörte insbesondere der Park am Wallgraben am Rande des historischen Stadtkernes von Zülpich.

In der Zeit vom 13.9. bis zum 28.9.2014 fanden hier abends die "Leuchtenden Gärten" statt. Bei diesem Spektakel wurden Blumen, Kunstinstallationen und Bauwerke auf faszinierende Weise illuminiert.
