Kolton has found a great way to beat the boredom of traveling long distances. Instead of asking "are we there yet" every few miles, he simply watches his favorite videos and snoozes intermittently. He's a great kid/grandson! :)

Our waitress at Shoney's in Lavonia had a special treat for Kolton: a football. (or, something like that.) :)

Photo taken by Kolton, as he learns to operate the video camera. (Grandpa had to show him which button to hit, but he did the rest) (Lavonia, GA)

Photo taken by Kolton, as he learns to operate the video camera. Kristin makes the camera shoot even more pictures, as I have the smile detection feature set on auto. Between Kolton's touching the capture button on the touch screen, and Kristin's laughing, I managed to get quite a few shots in the restaurant. (Note: we could have had much sharper images, but I turned the autoflash off, as I didn't want the flashes to disturb the other guests.) (Lavonia, GA)

You're never too old for the Shoney's kids coloring book. Actually, Kristin is just checking the kids menu on the back of the coloring/activity book, preparing to order for Kolton. (not that Kolton can't order for himself- when a waiter/waitress offers to take our order, or when we go through a drive through, he'll always shout "I want french fries!!!" to the speaker or the waiter/waitress. And if he's thirsty, too, then he'll say "Juice. And french fries!!!")

Based on this picture, it seems we've learned some bad table manners in that we've forgotten you're supposed to sit up straight at the table.
