A few years ago, I joked that 3 inches was the perfect snow. I'm not sure this one was even that much, but it looks nice, didn't cause any major power outages (at least as of yet), and if the temps weren't dropping down into the low teens tonight and tomorrow, would probably be gone by tomorrow. Not bad. I wish this had happened on Christmas!

I'm a little behind in posting pictures from 2016's Christmas festivities. I'll attempt to find time to get some photos up soon. I've got too many photos as of yet not uploaded. I don't want to take a chance on a computer crash and losing lots of Christmas pictures.

They may share a resemblance, but their personalities are almost as far apart as the East from the West. They're both well behaved, but Kolton is quiet, calm, and much more mature-acting than other boys his age. Blue is the "run wild" and "have fun until you drop" kind of guy. He's far more talkative and interactive, and you never get a moment's rest with him. (And when he finally winds down, after only a tiny breather he's ready to roll again) Kristin joked once that if Blue had been her first child, they may never have considered having another one. As the wonderful big-brother he his, Kolton helps watch after his younger brothers and promptly reports to mom and dad any violations of family policy. (which may cause problems for him down the road with his younger siblings, but at least for now, mom and dad aren't having to go-it alone.)

She just stood there the longest without moving, as if she were posing for me and waiting for me to get my camera ready.

I can't quite figure out if this look on Makkai's face is an inquisitive look, or the look of disapproval. I think maybe he's trying to tell me that he's tired of being pushed around in this thing and wants me to come to the rescue and release him, or carry him for a while. (then again, it could be the "get-that-camera-out-of-here" look. I've seen that look before, but never from someone quite this young.)
