A friend we picked up on the way. This dog is a type of "community property." She turned up a long time ago. Most of the families in the neighborhood began to feed her- she's a gentle, beautiful dog-- and she takes turns staying at everyone's houses. She'll stay at one house a few days, then move down the street a few houses and stay with them. Everyone feeds her, loves her, and cares for her, and she seems to understand that she belongs to everyone, taking turns with most of the people down the block.
