I've looked at this sign for the last 16 years or more, since I have to drive past it each day. I thought that someone would eventually take it down, especially after Ross Perot's second unsuccessful attempt at the White House. Ross Perot first ran for President of the United States in 1992, some 20 years ago. He ran again four years later in the '96 Election. Although unsuccessful both times, he did manage to stir things up and change the focus on several issues.
Ross Perot wanted to talk about keeping America free and un-beholden to foreign powers, creating jobs through the private sector, and putting the brakes on out-of-control Federal Spending. And like Ron Paul, who talks about the same things today, Perot was largely ignored and laughed at. With the recent news that the 32 worse months for employment of the last quarter-century have all been in the last few years, you'd think maybe someone would start to take note. Anyway, it amazes me that this sign is still up after 20 years. Maybe if I'm still around in another 20 years I can find a Ron Paul sign that was forgotten somewhere. Meanwhile, it seems to be politics as usual in America.
