Eidfjord is the innermost village in Hardanger/Hardangerfjord.

More than 95% of Eidfjord Community's total area of around 1,500 square kilometres is more than 600 metres above sea level. Hardangervidda is Europe’s largest mountain plateau and Norway’s largest national park. The rest of the community lies around the beautiful and well-known Hardangerfjord.
