Cobar station is in working order but there are no scheduled passenger services. Ore concentrates are the main freight.

The Byrock railway yards out of use since the early 80s. The water tower and crane are dry and probably haven't served a steam loco for 50 years. The platform is without nameboard or station building. the shelter on the extreme right has a noticeboard of articles and photos from busier times.
