The lone phone, standing in its place for two, in my suburb together with its shrunken posting box. This phone can be called on +61 7 4635 5219. June 2019.

I didn't know a phone box could be called.
A great find. Regards Peter
GrahamH club has replied to Peter Chet clubPhone boxes have always had numbers though sometimes they were set at the exchange so only the phone company can call them. I found the number by calling my mobile from it. As a first year trainee tech I had a fortnight's work at my local suburban Sydney's exchange and acquired the numbers of the two boxes at the railway station. This knowledge had both money and fun benefits.
Phone boxes are becoming very rare nowadays in the UK now. In many rural villages where such service was discontinued in the past, the local people adopted them for use as a 'book exchange'.
More recently redundant village phone boxes are often fitted with a medical defibrillator.
