The works with the cover removed. Inside an early 80s microwave oven. This stopped heating/cooking food so I pulled all the parts which may one day have some use in some electronic thing. November 2017.

It is about as simple as any microwave could be. It is also a reliable design as it ran for 35 years with no problems.
