I bought this soon after getting my licence in the mid 80s. The dip meter had an intermittent fault so I disassembled it to do repairs. I found that the battery leads were badly corroded inside the insulation. This wasn't visible until I cut the battery lead. This photo was taken with the new battery lead soldered in just before reassembly. May 2014.
