GrahamH club has replied to tarboat clubThe dry climate helps though the coastal climate is a hazard. No one spreads salt on our roads due to the (welcome) lack of snow. Fuel here is a lower cost here compared with Europe so large motors are less of a problem. In the SE Qld area there seems to be a greater concentration of these than other regions I'm familiar with, which is pleasant. I'd like to be able to justify doing up my green Holden... www.ipernity.com/doc/grahamh/30739521

We have a dry climate in Arizona that prevents them from rusting too much but the sun burns the paint off.
I don't have any pics of a nice one yet. ; )
GrahamH club has replied to 1971 Dodge Charger R… clubThis article summarises the Chrysler car in Australia. I recall the ute version having 'Dodge' as the brand name on their tailgates.

GrahamH club has replied to 1971 Dodge Charger R… clubIn Australia in the 60s and 70s there was a race, the highlight of sedan racing, at Bathurst in NSW which was 500 miles and with metrication 1000 Km. The rules for this format had to be road registrable. This was a focus for Ford, Holden and Chrysler.
Holden's first serious attempt with the first Monaro in 1968. The last racing Monaro was the HQ though there was also had the LJ Torana GTR XU-1 which was developed in parallel which won the 1972 race. Chrysler had Pacers and then Chargers as their combatants. Then changes in race rules and demands from TV networks took the focus away from locally developed cars.
Some info you may not have thought to look for.
