Bird of Paradise

for CMT13 TROPICAL in the neighbourhood, New South Wales, Australia. The Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia) is a much loved plant in Australian gardens. The genus is named after the duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, birthplace of Queen Charlotte of the United Kingdom. Native to South Africa, it is commonly known as a crane flower there, and is featured on the reverse of the 50 cent coin. It is the floral emblem of the City of Los Angeles.

Seasons greetings!

This was an experiment with the Nikon 35mm, in comparison with the Canon 50mm Here we have round, octagonal, and oval bokeh discs. With the Canon the result was octagonal. Canon photo 50mm lens F2.5 Update 23 December Canon 50mm at F2 seems to be the optimum, but the 100mm F2 result was the best. Different lens on Canon - Yongnuo 100mm F2
