We were in Tuncurry, renewing our passports at the Post Office, and called in here afterwards.. Commercial fishing on Wallis Lake dates back to the early 1900’s with the Wallis Lake Fishermen’s Co-operative being established in 1947 (Great Lakes Historical Society, pers. comm).
