We spent a few enjoyable days down on the Central Coast of NSW Australia, catching up with friends.
We stayed in a dog friendly apartment with a terrace, which had a view of the back of this hotel, looking towards the Pacific Ocean. Photo below.
Crowne Plaza Hotel, a landmark in Terrigal, ocean facing deluxe accommodation..
We remember it as the Holiday Inn. Found this about its history:
Peppers bought its way out of commitments to what was then its flagship property, on the NSW central coast, for $2.5 million in January 1992. This led to an attempt to raise $70 million in a float late in 1994 that was abandoned because of rising interest rates and a decline in the sharemarket. The central-coast resort became the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza at Terrigal. "Those testing experiences taught us a lot," O'Connor says. "You can profit from the lessons of history." April 21, 1997.

Übrigens habe ich mir das Buch mit der Mäuse-Käse-Geschichte gekauft. Hab' ich recht schnell gelesen und fand es sehr gut! :-))
