Cumin is a spice that comes from the Cuminum cyminum plant. It is native to Asia, Africa, and Europe.Cumin lends its distinctive flavor to chili, tamales and various Indian curries. Its flavor has been described as earthy, nutty, spicy and warm.
It has long been used in traditional medicine.

Garam masala is a spice blend widely used in Indian cuisine, from curries and lentil dishes to soups. Whole spices of cinnamon, mace, peppercorns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and cardamon pods are toasted in a pan to release their aromatic flavors, then ground to a powder.

Nutmeg is made from the seeds of Myristica fragrans, a tropical evergreen tree native to Indonesia. It has a warm, slightly nutty flavor and is often used in desserts and curries, as well as drinks like mulled wine and chai tea.
