Tribute to my Mum and Dad

So sad posting this, as my dear old Dad passed away early in the morning on Friday 10th May.

So this is a tribute to both Mum and Dad for the Sunday challenge - Mothers.

I am so grateful to both my parents for the love and opportunities they gave me. I wish they could still be here, and will love them forever. xxxxxxx

Oh Gillian, my heart is just breaking for you right now. My dad passed away a couple of years ago and it's still like yesterday for me. *big, warm hugs* I am so sorry for your loss. It is just so hard to wrap our minds around the loss of our parents. Mom died many years ago and dad never got over that of course...and I'm sure your dad was lost without your mom too. My thoughts are with you, Gillian...:( :( I'm so sad...

Thank you Janet. Your words are so true. I can't believe he has gone, miss him so much, wish he was here, but in better health, not really possible at 102, but I was lucky to have him there for so long.

Condolences. They both seemed to have a long and happy life. Well, living through second world war very likely must have been awful, but still. And your dad, 102 years is an admirable age to reach!
