HWW [EXPLORER]

Avant d'être une bouquinerie où on venait acheter des bouquins d'occasion (ou en déposer car la propriétaire était visiteuse de prison et en faisait profiter les détenus) c'était une petite poissonnerie réputée. Hélas comme beaucoup de commerces de petites villes, elle n'a pas résisté à l'implantation des deux supermarchés.

Before it was a bookshop where people came to buy second-hand books (or drop them off, as the owner was a prison visitor and used them to benefit prisoners), it was a small fishmonger's with a good reputation. Unfortunately, like many small town shops, it was unable to resist the arrival of the two supermarkets.

An excellent capture Franck and a familiar story. As a child I would go to the fishmongers, the butchers, the greengrocers, the bakery,corner shop etc and very few have survived. It is a shame. I not only miss the shops but I miss the service too.

Comme tu dis! Néanmoins c'est une petite ville de 1626 habitants, il y a encore pas mal de commerces de proximité (marché hebdomadaire, commerces de bouche, coiffeurs, salons d'esthétiques, photographe, et autres) et c'est touristique donc ça se maintient tout de même.
