I'm fascinated by grids but I don't know why. Perhaps it was years of staring at computer screens displaying SPSS data files. Or maybe my near-lifelong obsession with crosswords. Or maybe I was attracted to crosswords and data analysis by an unconscious obsession with grids. Know thyself my bum.
The building is the TD Bank Tower (Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Bregman + Hamann Architects, 1967) in Toronto. It is one of seven building that constitute the Toronto-Dominion Centre; three of them are by Mies and three more are in this style. The three buildings by Mies are the last of his North American period. This is the world HQ of TD Bank (aka Toronto-Dominion Bank and TD Canada Trust).
The Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity, Norwich. The cathedral opened in 1145, and most of the original structure has been retained.
A new edit of a photo posted earlier on Flickr.
I think these fellows are probably more members of the Dinkelsbühler Knabenkapelle, like the fellows in the photo in the PiP at top left. Here they are again enjoying the local cuisine at New City Hall in Toronto.

This coffee shop at 1 University Avenue in Toronto used to be one of my favourites. The long-running roadwork on York and Front Streets seems to have killed it off, though. The roadwork is finished now, but so is the coffee shop.
The Bay Wellington Tower is one of two towers at Brookfield Place in Toronto. The architects for both towers were are Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill LLP with Bregman + Hamann Architects. The towers are joined by the Allan Lambert Galleria, whose architect is Santiago Calatrava. The development was completed in 1992.

Thanks to Gisela Plewe. I was reminded of her comment on my next-to-last photo when I saw this, so took a bird's-eye view.
For Sight and Sound, aNNa schramm suggested "You're My Chocolate" by Savages as an accompaniment for this photo. I think it establishes a very interesting and thought-provoking mood for the photo. sp here it is:
