Happy new bananas!

Interesting look at them. And their nicely decorated bowl(s).

Thanks, Bob. My niece spotted the bowls in a great Canadian discount store, Giant Tiger. If they creep over the border into MN, make a beeline there.

Fabulous capture!

Thanks, William.

A nicely composed still-life shot John............I love the colours!

Thanks, Keith.

very nice close up

Thanks, Annemarie.

A great image.

Thank you very much, Pete.

A colourful close-up which works well.

Thanks, George.

I like the horizontal split screen; maybe adds to the dynamic of the striking contrasts.

Thanks, Steve; rdhinmn (aka Bob, above) has noted that I take a lot of photos with two disparate halves. I hadn't really noticed that here, so thanks for pointing it out. My unconscious seems to be at war with the so-called rule of thirds.

It takes two bowls to hold that brightness.

An interesting point, Esther, which may also explain why the photo has dissimilar upper and lower halves. Thanks.

Love bananas, Agarve or Madeira's ones... lovely composition !
