Sorry.........one of my pet hates!
John FitzGerald club has replied to Keith Burton clubThis place is OK. I just order the light drip coffee, which is quite good. There is, however, the typical knot of people hanging around waiting for their lattes etc. The gallery is some big wildlife photos on the walls. But it's bright and airy, and yesterday sitting outside in the sun was pleasant.
But yeah, I wouldn't mind going back to the days of the one-armed joint where you bought a coffee and a doughnut and they brought it to you. And you could have a chat with the staff. Chain coffee shops did away with counters, table service, and comfortable chairs to encourage people to leave quickly, or leave altogether and drink their coffee elsewhere.
Feh, I say. Feh.
